Jennifer Garner was born April 17, 1972 in Houston Texas. Her family
moved to West Virginia when Jennifer was 3. She first showed signs of
her future career in elementary school, winning the talent competition
annually. ALong with her two sisters, she learned piano and ballet,
then in the last 3 years of high school, she became involved in summer
stock, mostly selling tickets and helping to build sets, with very
little performing. After High School, she began studying as a Theatre
Major in University. After graduation, she went to New York where she
found a position as an understudy for a Broadway production. She was
soon appearing in a television movie, "Zoya", by Danielle Steel,
starring Melissa Gilbert and Diana Rigg. Then followed appearances in
Swift Justice and Spin City. She also appeared in the television drama
"Law and Order", a series that has introduced many a youthful actor and
actress to the television audience, including Zoe Saldana. Afterwards
came two dramatic Hallmark Theatre roles, a brief appearance in a Woody
Allen movie, "Desconstructing Harry," the historical drama "Washington
Square," and the Disney movie, "Mr. Magoo." Sporadic appearances
followed in a variety of television shows, in particular, "Felicity."
Her first cinema success was "Dude, Where's My Car?", as the girlfriend
to Ashton Kutcher in this screwball comedy, then "Pearl Harbor," with
Ben Affleck. Afterwards, she played a Ninja-style spy in crazy wigs and
costumes in the show "Alias." The show became a cult hit, much of it
thanks to Jennifer's character. This was followed by Steven Spielberg's
"Catch Me If You Can." Then came "Daredevil," where she played the
character, Elektra along with Ben Affleck, only to follow up with the
sequel in which her character was the focus of the story, ("Elektra,"
2005). More recently, she has appeared in the comedy, "13 going on 30,"
proving once again that Jennifer Garner had arrived as a major star and
is just awaiting that one award-winning role that will make her a
